Merlot is a black grape variety, native of Gironde, in the south-west of France, and in particular from the Bordeaux area. There are proofs of its existence since 1700; it imported to Italy in 1880 where it found ideal environment in Friuli, Trentino and Veneto.
Merlot Veneto pours a bright ruby red color with garnet hues. It is intense and with a characteristic herbaceous taste, alcoholic, fruity, aromatic, full-bodied and warm.
